The Chronic Care Center has the motto Care and Commitment to the children with diabetes or thalassemia in the Lebanese Community. It offers medical, social, and psychological support to these children so they can lead a normal life at school and at home.
Like other NGOs, CCC is suffering enormously from the socio-economic meltdown in Lebanon. The children that are cared for by the center are in dire need of Insulin and medical supplies to survive. American Friends of the Chronic Care Center – AFCCC – was recently established as a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)(3) status. The funds collected by AFCCC will be used to purchase much-needed medication and medical equipment. The CCC was established as an NGO in the early 1990’s.
